Ankheg attack near Aldenhold
Spoiler warning: Articles include story details through Episode 47 of the main campaign and all three episodes of Parental Advisory.
Two oversized ankhegs erupt near the road and threaten trapped farmhands and livestock. The party fights to protect the workers; Jeremiah rescues an injured villager and lands a killing blow.
A survivor reports black lightning on the horizon three nights earlier and says the local creatures have not behaved or grown like this before. The testimony suggests a link without proving the cause.
