Jimbo and Martha

Jimbo and Martha farm on Beckinsdale's outskirts. They have lived there about thirty years and been married about thirty-five, following the conversation's explicit corrections. They ask the party to investigate disappearing livestock.

Jimbo reports six animals missing over two weeks and raids every two or three nights. The party interviews Clarence the horse and Betsy the cow, examines circular cuts and broken fences, and prepares an ambush.

A rune-marked giant and four gnolls arrive through a purple portal. The giant escapes after the ensuing battle. The next day the party collects a black-blood sample and helps repair the fences. Martha gives Malcius some of her tea; no magical effect is established.
