Jameson Boonesaw

Jameson is a fisherman encountered drinking at the Northcall Inn. He has deep scars down the right side of his face and mourns his dog Rufus, whom he describes as his closest companion.

Jameson says he and Rufus used to fish and camp on Aelmor Island’s beach before returning to Sestone. He claims to have heard the bell ring on the supposedly abandoned island and attributes an attack there to ghosts. According to his account, Rufus saved him, but he could not save the dog.

Jameson also speaks warmly of Helest, who helped him after Rufus’s death. He says he has not seen Helest for ten days and knows that he visits the island, but cannot establish where he has been.

Arid and Kronko both describe Jameson as having returned badly injured. Neither confirms that ghosts were responsible. Kronko dates the incident to a few years earlier; that timing remains attributed to him.
