Leilana Anne Mournwind grew up with Malcius in Caldera and was his childhood sweetheart. After an early-adulthood breakup, she married the noble Cristian Casimir.
When Malcius was twenty-five, they rekindled their affair at a fundraising dinner. Its discovery led to his excommunication. She gave him his treasured lute. Malcius still recalls her while traveling, but those memories do not establish her present wishes or a reunion.
