Rory
Spoiler warning: Articles include story details through Episode 47 of the main campaign and all three episodes of Parental Advisory.
Rory is an elderly dwarf druid encountered in a fungal cottage behind a spore-filled barrier. His gray beard carries green fungus, his clothing resembles roots and lichen, and he carries a mushroom-topped staff. His mote is Sebastian.
Rory recognizes the party as Unfated Ones. He says he belonged to such a group on another world, and that his spark now sends him between worlds to guide people facing disaster. He cannot control every journey and dislikes being called a reaper.
He initially says his group saved their world. In Episode 37 he instead describes the Dragon King destroying his homeworld and his own failure. The accounts conflict and remain attributed to him.
His restorative tea and constructed trials test the party's trust, mote bonds and restraint. Intruders exploit Todd to breach the festival recreation. Rory later identifies danger connected with the Dragon King, says Sebastian is watching their prisoners and intends to consult Alatar. The intended consultation is not a completed investigation.
