Blessing of the Newborns
Spoiler warning: Articles include story details through Episode 47 of the main campaign and all three episodes of Parental Advisory.
Alatar performs the Blessing of the Newborns in the sacred grove during the party's recreated Moonstone visit. Five families present infants, including baby Thormir and baby Malcius.
In white-and-gold robes, Alatar touches his staff's glowing gem to each infant's forehead and privately addresses the parents. He speaks of the potential calling of blessed children as Unfated Ones, not a guarantee for every child.
Accounts conflict: Dagle describes a new local blessing, whereas Cedric Weatherby and Alatar describe an annual northern tradition. The trial is framed in 484 ADW against a present of 524 ADW, while a separate forty-three-year wager does not match that forty-year gap. These discrepancies remain unresolved.
